Steeda is proud to introduce our new Axle-Back Exhaust System for the 2018-2019 Ford Mustang Fastback GT that packs a punch with a mean modern note. We have designed this system to bring out the raw powerful sound your 5.0L Coyote delivers. Our exclusive axle-back exhaust design provides maximum horsepower and the best tone without annoying drone. The can style mufflers have an embossed Steeda sidewinder and some of the best looking welds in the industry. Their compact design tucks neatly under the rear valence and the tips are adjustable forward and backward to achieve perfect fitment and symmetry.

This Steeda S550 Axle-Back Exhaust System is constructed from 304-stainless steel which will not develop surface rust like 409 or rust through like aluminized steel. The tips of our Steeda axle-back exhaust are constructed from polished 304-stainless steel and are adjustable forward, backward, and rotatable to achieve perfect alignment and symmetry.

The installation of this Steeda S550 Mustang Fastback GT Axle-Back Exhaust System is a simple bolt on using common hand tools.

With the mean tone and additional volume this Steeda S550 Mustang Fastback GT Axle-Back Exhaust System gives your 2018-2019 Mustang GT, there is no doubt you will turn some heads driving down the road and at track. The polished exhaust tips ensure your S550 is a show-stopper even when standing still.

Product Benefits:

  • Adds aggressive mean tone
  • Great daily driving volume with no drone
  • 304 stainless construction provides lifetime of corrosion resistance
  • Increased horsepower & up to 20% weight reduction

My current set up drones between 1800 and 2100 rpms mostly when going up hill but off and on all the time. I noticed the 20% sale and considered adding this to my feb build to make the wife happy.

Drones suck !
I had a set or FR500 spring baffled mufflers I loved but sold them with my terminator and regret it now.

About how much hp does this add compared to stock? Is it about 8 lbs lighter than the stock axle back? How many dB louder than the stock '18 non-active GT exhaust?

An axle back is good for around 2 or 3hp and shedding a few lbs.

Right now I am just running a total muffler delete (good for maybe 3 or 4hp) both the lightest/lowest restriction/cheapest exhaust mod possible before you move up to the resonators with a mid pipe to gain another 2 or 3 hp and shed the wt ..of the suitcase.

Not sure it's worth the extra noise though . It's plenty loud already .

I suspect the steeda axle back is well worth it with an x/h pipe as I am not sure i would want to hear it without the small muffler they add back in.

I actually get a fair number of compliments around town w muff delete especially when in sport plus on my auto with the engine brakeing downshifting thing going on.

I'd still consider this axle back to get rid of the highway cruise drone possibly.

yellow 2016 5.0 totaled white 2018 A10 now

You use just the Axle back or an X pipe too?

This look like Roush/SLP axle backs but maybe a littke quieter?

I had X pipe and Roush axle back ob my 2016 and loved it.

Currently have a Steeda X pipe and MAK cat deletes on my 2018.
