I think I just figured out what I don't like about the '18 front end. I could never put my finger on it...But the grill area doesn't set back as deep as it does on the 15-17. I love everything about the Steeda front clip, but the grill is what stood out to me. So it must be that aspect that has been nagging at me all of this time. I can see it being very polarizing though, with some liking it, and some not.

My '16 and the deeper grill..

Yes. It took me about a week of studying the initial 18' front end pics after its debut to verify this notable difference and agree the difference appears signifigant relative to the 15-17. I also think the gloss black paint of the grill might somewhat accentuate the shallowness.

I think it looks good too. I actually really like the front splitter, similar to the PP2 splitter. I would buy a splitter that looks like the one on this bumper. My point is that its going to cost a fortune to prep, paint, install and buy a whole new bumper for minimal changes excluding the splitter.
Yeah, that easily adds up. I guess it depends if you think its worth it or not. Personally, I think so but the deal breaker for me is the molded splitter.

All these people saying it "transformed" the front end, when in reality, all it is is a bigger splitter and the front intakes opened up maybe 1/4" wider... placebo effect, you say?

It looks great, but because the 2018 looks great to begin with, not because Steeda did anything groundbreaking

I wish they would make it look more like the GT350. This just looks sort of off and buck-toothed to me. I even preferred the initial sketch that Steeda showed a few months ago.

Any company who makes a GT350 style bumper for the 2018 will make a killing.

Man, that is worse than the stock bumper, but I am probably biased :D.

And I sure hope they fix the fitment/hood alignment issues.

This is our first test fit with the new fascias & remember, we sell these cars at Ford Dealerships throughout the country. Everything is going to line-up.

When they leave our facility - they will be perfect.

Best Regards,

TJ

I like it but as said before if the top grill was more sunken in it would look meaner.
