Just got mine. I love the way the trunk opens now. It looks really cool, lol. I've been putting small items in there I'd normally put up front with me just to watch it open, lol.
And hey at that sale price, it's hard not to buy them.

For those new to this product the sale is only for the “standard struts. If you have a PP, GTCS, or a large spoiler or wing this one is not for you. The “heavy” struts are not on sale, yet.

I’ve had the larger ones on mine for the last couple of years, as I have the Steeda Functional wing. However, they have never really worked. I tried lubricants on hinges, pins etc.. Steeda did replace my first set, but could never get them to work correctly.

Resistance isn't bad - it takes some force but nothing too crazy.

I am not sure why they wouldn't work correctly - we have many of them in the marketplace. Can you take a video of them not working correctly?

resistance is there but nothing crazy. Well worth the investment to me.

The thing I had to get used to was that when I opened the trunk using the button above the license tag, I did not want to get too close. I came close to the spoiler hitting my chin a few times.
