I went and got groceries yesterday. I hadnt seen any isues with mine, but yesterday when I got home, unloaded and shut the trunk I noticed there was a slight gap on both sides. Pushed down and it stayed. Not nearly as bad others, but looks like I'll try the adjstment too.

Yeah, I don't have the box it came it nor the wrapping. Christ, this has really been a disappointing sale.

Thanks for the update. I intend to give it a try, as soon as I see the video. I looked around and didn't really see much wiggle room for the bolts but could have been looking in the wrong places.

Hello All:

This is what we uncovered when our team looked at the trunk issue that was more pronounced after the Steeda Trunk Strut Kit was installed:

Let us know if this doesn't do the fix for you & we'll discuss the next steps.

Best Regards,

TJ

on my car, water was leaking in the trunk big time, the dealer fixed the issue free of charge. Now with the trunk pop kit, don't stand too close from the trunk you will get wack!!!

Today, I followed the instructions in the video posted by Steeda. First, let me say, there was no way I could get a 10mm socket or ratcheting wrench on the "front" bolt. The strut is in the way. The video shows the ratchet on the back bolt but doesn't actually show the guy using it on the front bolt. I got it done using an open-end wrench but it was very tight. There isn't a whole lot of room for adjustments but I did move it from one extreme to the other extreme and was able to get about 3/4 of the gap out. Not perfect but better.

I'd say give it a try. I ended up sliding it as far towards the front of the car as possible.

Only one way to find out. If you like the idea of a self opening trunk give them a try.
