Was interested in ordering 3 parts to get my daily driven bullitt shifter feeling the best it can. These three include the tri ax street shifter, transmission mount bushing insert, and the shifter base bushing bracket.

Can anyone who has these products lmk if it made a big positive difference? How are the shifts and is NVH bad?

EDIT:
Looks like a lot of people report a lot of NVH from the transmission mount bushing insert. I’ll probably skip out on that one then…
Leaning towards just the shifter and the support bracket.

I ran the transmission mount insert in mine for a good while with zero issues. The only reason I removed it was to upgrade to the Boomba Racing transmission mount with the black bushings.

I do have a Steeda Tri-ax race shifter, but it’s the entire assembly (to include the billet support bushing).

NVH is extremely minimal on my car and the ride is still very comfortable, even on long road trips.

I have the Steeda transmission bushing and the Steeda shifter bushing with the stock shifter. I think this made a huge difference in the way the car shifts. This mod is cheap and effective.

The shifter bushing is great if you don't want to upgrade your shifter otherwise you can go cheaper just by getting the bushing insert. it worked great for me. I also did the transmission bushing insert. 100% best two mods for the money . Now as far as the shifter goes I would wait and really think about what one to get. the shifter bracket replacement will make a big difference you can also get one much cheaper by getting an insert that works with the OEM bracket. there isn't much difference except a small amount of deflection if you seriously wail on the shifter like you're trying to kill it. i will say if you plan on getting a shifter and mounting it to the body instead of the transmission I would 100% get the nice mounting bracket that you posted Otherwise you'll end up uninstalling it when you install the shifter And it's not needed. the Triax is nice but the majority of people look at Barton and mgw fwiw.

How is the NVH with the transmission mount bushing insert and the bracket replacement?

The reason I like the tri ax street is because it’s less of an install since it’s just the lever and I’d like to get a shorter nicer throw

I didn’t notice any change in nvh with the bracket, I like it, no more crunching into 3rd for me on a fast shift

I don’t really notice any. It’s a 2019 300A with a performance package no magnaride so the suspension is very stiff. It only has 5430 miles it is a garage queen, it’s still like brand new. Never been driven in the rain. It still has every drop of original wiper fluid! It’s never been beat on or abused. I may sell it in the fall . Someone is going to get an awesome car.

I went with the Triax short shift and didn’t like it at first because of the very mechanical feel of the shifts. Once I added a heavy weight shift knob it made all the difference. I really love the shift now that it has a few miles on it and has settled in. I didn’t go with any of the bushings or brackets because nearly everyone reported an increase in NVH; which I didn’t want, not even a little bit.

I installed all three of these parts a while back, plus a weighted shirt knob. Shifing action is excellent. Very consistent and direct.

About 1500 miles ago I swapped out the OEM trans fluid for Motul Multi DCTF. I'm now getting 2nd gear lockout when downshifting from 3rd, even at maintenance/neutral throttle. Heck, even when sitting still at idle, if I try to shift directly into 2nd it resists. 99% sure it's a synchro problem based on these symptoms. Am going to try a different fluid to see if it helps. Frustrating.

I don't know if it will help, but I just changed mine from the stock fluid to the BG Sychro-shift II and I felt a difference in it for sure.

I have had both MGW and Barton on my Gt500 and have a Barton on my car now. They are both very good shifters.

The trans insert is hit or miss. I tried it and my car shook like hell. It's pretty easy to rip back out if you are one of the unlucky ones though so if you've already purchased it, I'd give it a try.
