I had a JLT CAI a while back that did the same thing even after a tune, I ended up saying f*** it, stock airbox is plenty fine with a high airflow filter, keeps IAT hella down too.Recently installed a steeda cai .....lund tuned and the idle bounces from 700rpm to 1000rpms every 15 seconds. I verified that there are no leaks after the maf (sprayed and smoke tested) . Is this normal for an cai to do this?
I'm about to do that aswell they said its "fan wash" but on cold starts there is no fans lolI had a JLT CAI a while back that did the same thing even after a tune, I ended up saying f*** it, stock airbox is plenty fine with a high airflow filter, keeps IAT hella down too.
Open box proflowWhich Steeda CAI? They have a couple.
I did reset the KAM. memory and still the sameI would try unplugging the battery for several minutes, then cold-start the car, let it run for 3 mins. Turn if off for 3 mins, start it again for 3 mins.
I wouldn't be surprised if it clears up after some driving around.
Is that a solid plug above the drivers side cam cover vent? It looks open.I'm about to do that aswell they said its "fan wash" but on cold starts there is no fans lol

Has their been an outcome on the issue? I'm looking at purchasing the open CAI and remap from Steeda UK. Does the tune also affect the auto gear changes? And is there an option to increase the rev limiter and remove the top speed limiter? Thanks. For the group - I have included the OP in an email to our lead tuner. He is currently evaluating what may be taking place.
Thank you,
