So keep looking into a tune for my GT. So far only have the Borla Touring CB. Does anyone here run the steeda cai and a tune? Wasnt sure if they worked for our RHD cars. I like the sound of the Ford racing pp1 too but a bit put off by the no lift shift

No experience of Steeda CAI or tune.

However, after experiencing some very hard lessons, in the tuning-sphere.
I'd suggest " canned tunes " will be unlikely to realize the full potential of any bolt-ons or more, you paid for and have installed on your car.

Furthermore, bespoke tuning holds the potential for issues too.
I gave PBD a go and it has not gone well, so perhaps look at Lund or anyone in the U.K. who can prove they know what they're doing.
Equally, if you're going to take your car to a tuner for installation work, etc.
Biggest mistake I made was going to MAP.

I'm not a fan of Steeda, certainly wouldn't trust their tunes.

What are your long term plans for the car mods ?

Long term I guess I just wanted improve on things I felt were a little weak from the factory. I've done the full exhaust, cradle lock out and centering sleeves and a front brace, put better front discs on too and a set of PS4S all around. I just feel its lacking something low down., 6th I feel is useless to accelerate unless your well over 70 due to lack of torque/high gearing.

The pp2 really appeals to me but seems but hesitant because of nls and it cant easily be reversed. Waant sure how it would affect the resale.

I was waiting on the PP3 when it was first announced but it got delayed due to emissions, so I just went and bought all the parts separately and got a Lund tune.

For what you want get in touch with aed and ask for the stock hardware tune with the torque limiting removed. Job done!! It is an epic improvement over stock

Oh really? How much power do you get? Do you have to go somewhere to get this installed? I'm with Chris knott and 21hp and up equals 20 percent on my premium eek. I think it keeps going up the more power they increase

AED is in America but they can do remote turning no problem at all. It’s all done by email. Not sure how much extra power it gave, but it was certainly very noticeably more torque and power on the butt dyno. What’s more, it was very civilised too, no issues at all. On reflection I should have stopped there mod wise as it was probably best bang for the buck. I later measured the 0-100mph time on the gt350 manifold and tune vs that first AED stock hardware tune and it was very close indeed to 90mph.

Thanks for the info! Is there a particular company you used or did you go direct to them? Do you buy a hand held tuning device first and then upload the file they send you, or do you scan your car and send the data over?

Did you get your tune from Steeda U.S.A? IF so, let me know what your issues are that you are experiencing.

Best Regards,

Let me look into this for you with Rodney & Matt H. - our lead tuner.
