Hi all,
I've been reading and learning from these forums for some time now. Thanks for all the great info.
I wanted to ask a question that's been on my mind for a while.
I own a 2019 Mustang GT Fastback Premium, with Performance Package level 1.
When playing MP3 or Flac files (eg. podcasts) from a USB flash drive, every once in a while the sound system makes a loud "POP" sound.
This sound could also be described as a brief crackle.
Or as a brief, static pop.
It can be quite loud and disturbing.
I purchased this car new in 2019. The sound system is stock and came with the car.
Ford Service ran a diagnostic check on the sound system multiple times, and they couldn't find anything wrong.
This popping sound is repeatable. You can rewind the MP3, and it will make the same popping sound at the same timestamp in the file.
I've heard the sound in dozens of different MP3 and FLAC files.
When playing these same files on other devices, there is no popping sound.
What do you think might be causing this?
Thanks in advance!
