So after 3000 miles, a track day and 6 autocross the front tread depth on my super sports is about 4/32" from the wear bar. Does anyone know what the tire starts at? I checked Michelins site and didn't see any info.

I'm concerned if I go to one more autocross than they will get near the 3/32" limit that tech requires for a track day. I'm planning on a trip to NJ motorsports park in October to close out the season.

Found the info with help in another thread. FYI it's 7.5/32 front and 8/32 rear.

According to Tire Rack's info on the oem tires for a GT350 you started with 7.5/32 F and 8/32 rear. However, based on my experience with Bridgestone RE-71R's and credible info on other brands those depths may have been "as designed/molded" so that the actual measured tread depth of mounted new tires could easily be half a 32 less than the specs. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...6&autoModel=Shelby GT350 Mustang&autoModClar=

FYI in general autocross tires wear faster when the tread depth is greater so you MIGHT get less wear in the next event. However, that could also depend on the site surface, course design, and how much "grinding understeer" the tires see.
