Yeah I saw that in a few spots. Didn't know if there was something that shows what Ford says is solid operating temp.
I know on the GT350 they say not to run full out till engine oil temp is at least 190 I think, but I think the safety in the system is 180 on the 350.
There seems to be nothing in the GT500 manual with that info.

I wonder if there is something telling the system the car is not seeing enough temp at startup based on other factors or too much temp at startup based on other factors in the tranny or rear or somewhere?
My issue seems to be on cool startup after the car has run for a while but not run hard at all, then sits for 10-15 minutes and then starts up again in cool weather.

Again I heard on the 350 that a check engine would get thrown if coolant temp did not get hot enough after a period of time or after oil came up to a certain temp. I think Ford did a ECU Flash to correct a code getting thrown too quickly in that instance (I think just 2016s and earlier).

The manual seems to only talk about a wrench in reference to the rear end temp?

Am I missing something?

That and changing dif fluid after so many track miles the wrench appears than too.

I thought I saw something else about cold weather starts however I couldn’t find anything else.

I believe trans temp is 110, maybe 120, i forget which. Manual might say it when discussing launch control etc.

Anyone have an opinion on who to contact at a higher level? I’m concerned about two things one of which is getting a used unit that had been repaired with on known miles on it and two that this will lower the value of my car. I’m not sure if the trannies are vin stamped. Remember i only have 400 miles on her. I dont want to assume that a new unit will be sent.

anyone have an idea of the numbers of failures?

you absoloutley will not get a used / repaired trans. it will not lower value. there is no VIN assigned to DCT, against what a certain Evolutioning shop tried to claim when we learned they smomed some DCT's a while back ;)

So the trans came in Monday and now since the system was full of metal the concern was without the proper flushing machine the lines and the cooler will need to be replaced and none exist. Another month of waiting supposedly. Totally sucks!
