Hi everyone. I want to upgrade my 9 Speaker system with high end speakers but wanted to see what others have installed and liked the best for sound quality.

Here is what I put in my 2019 Bullitt. The tweeters are on an aftermarket amp, while the 6.5 mid-bass woofers are still running on the factory amp for now, until someone makes a t-harness that will allow me to disconnect them from the B&O amp and put them on the aftermarket amp, or I get brave enough to cut the speaker wires.

I am guessing you don't have the B&O sound system?

Nope, I have the 9 speaker system. I got every other option I wanted, Premium, 401a, PP1, Magneride, Active Exhaust, A10, Safe And Smart, enhanced safety, So I figured I would replace the speakers with mid level comp speakers to start off with just wanted to see if anyone else has done any stereo system upgrades. Thanks

I’m with you, I did the research and thought I would have chills when the music started playing. It’s okay or either I just don’t know the proper settings.

No it is not. I even started a thread a while back ago asking ford for my 895 dollars back LOL. But that is the case with most cars "premium" sound systems they are not anything to brag about.

Factory B&O stereo systems are crap. Upgrading mine was one of the first things that I did. It wasn’t cheap to do though, (about $2,800), but now it sounds really great!

- Hertz DSK 165.3 mid-bass woofers in doors
- Hertz 24.3 tweets in A-pillar (these fit behind the factory speaker grills)
- AmpPro fd-21 amp interface with Toslink port and fiber optic cable to supply signal to my DSP
- AudioControl DM-608 digital sound processor
- AudioControl 4.300 micro amp (feeds tweets only for now, but will eventually feed the mid-bass door woofers too once I figure out how to disconnect them from the factory B&O amp)
- AudioControl 1.300 micro amp (feeds JL Audio Stealthbox subwoofer mounted in place of factory B&O subwoofer)
- Dynamat in trunk, doors and other areas

The Shaker system in my 2014 was better. I've never been a particular fan of B$O and now I know why. Anemic best describes the system. I need better speakers (the bass in the trunk is a joke) and more power. Especially for a convertible.

I had a way better system back in the 1980's.

I had a 10" kicker added. The box fit nicely against the back seat, in the trunk. It has a bass adjustment mounted under the front seat. It solved the problem of missing bottom, but the tinny sound of the existing speakers is still there. Overall it was a limited success.

Well I do know when you first buy a car, all of the stereo settings are defaulted to mid level sounds like crap mode. If you never went into the audio settings to adjust, I would you tube to show you how. Absolutely make 100% difference in the sound quality highs, miss, lows. Good luck.
