I just throw an extra factory wheel/tire in the back for long trips. 5mm spacer if it needs to go on the front.

That's what I'm going to do except I will put a regular GT spare in the trunk and switch the rear wheel to the front if it ever comes to it.

Any reason not to run a front PP wheel as a spare for the rear as well ? Obviously, tread width is not the same, but wheel height is probably more important and it is just as a temp fix till the blown tire is repaired or replaced ?

The Automotive Authority option looks nice, but at $500 for the kit, that's a bit hard to swallow. I'm thinking of just getting the factory spare kit (for $210) and accepting that I will only be able to run it on the rear (I installed GT PP brakes on my EB). If I get a front flat, I'll have to change two tires, putting the spare on the rear and moving the rear to the front. A bit of a pain, but for a $300 savings, it seems reasonable.

That may work for you but some of us have a staggered fitment so moving the rears to the front is not an option.:crying:

I put the Equus 19" spare on my 2018 PP1 car, BUT it has to be bored out to 70.66mm/2.782" to fit the Mustang hub. It clears the Brembo brakes in the front too! I got the spare on eBay for $175.00.

How did you bore it out? I have one and need to do this.
