Spacer size with stock 18x8 wheels

Hey guys, I'm between a 1inch and 1.5 inch spacer for my rear wheels. I have the stock 18x8 wheels and want to get an aggressive look. Sitting 1" lowered with Steeda Sport Progressive springs. Anyone have any opinions?

I have an opinion based on experience, the 1.5" will poke out by .5" but the 1" will sit flush very nicely!
