Just had mine removed due to having the Ford Performance Power Pack 2 installed. I can't tell a difference at all.

One of the first things I did when I got my '18 GT Premium. Main reason for removing it was it looks ugly as sin under
the hood; like something from a Dr, Seuss book! Whether it reduced engine sound in the cabin, who knows. Just
removing it makes you think the sound has changed. Totally unnecessary piece of junk IMO.

Most just remove it because...well...its ugly and clutters up the engine bay. I took mine out when I first got my '16 and really could not tell any difference.

Removes clutter from the engine bay. One less hose and clamp to deal with.

really the delete is only necessary when you install an aftermarket intake. It's just a plug to prevent water and debris from getting into the cabin. It has no performance benefits at all.

I deleted mine when installing jlt intake. With the intake and no tube it's still slightly louder in the cabin than when stock with sound tube. Glad I got rid of it.

Deleted mine when I installed MBRP catback exhaust Street. I noticed that I could hear the exhaust mainly from the rear as to before it seemed all around the cabin

I took mine off mainly to clean the engine bay up. I don't recall noticing any real difference other than that

Cleaning up the engine compartment hasn't been a big motivator in my relationship with the car. I viewed the sound tube as a waste of energy and materials, and the introduction of a phony aspect to the vehicle. Kind of like brake scoops behind the doors. Now, if they had put those on with the money wasted on the tube, I might have left them on; could the scoops be made functional? I'd guess so. No such value in the tube.

I put a plug in mine. I don't think it made a perceptible difference in what I hear in the cabin. Not only was it a goofy solution to a problem that probably didn't exist, it didn't work. I hope Mr Ford learned from this.

Ugly, in the way, wasted weight. Removed mine early on.

What it does is pipe some intake noise into the driver footwell.

I'd love to remove it, but I have a 2019 PP1 and there really isn't my room to get my hand down the firewall. Maybe if I tried from below? There is a brace that isn't on the standard GT that is in the way.
