CONTEXT: So one of my M6G friends and I have many similar parts and are sort of thinking about some other stuff; including GT500 front end from 777 Performance.

HOWEVER how low can one go and it not snow plow every bump and curb?

As such looking to see what folks think is on this car?

I'm guessing the following parts:

- 777 Performance GT500 front bumper - CONFIRMED
- 19" rims
- 35 Sidewall tires
- 1" lowering kit

It's a beautiful machine but I bet there are places he simply can't drive into. My GT is minimum drop (0.5"), 19" rims and 35 sidewall and I haven't scraped on anything (yet) but much lower and I dunno!!!

Tagging @JustSomeGuy so we can keep an eye on this one!!!

I'd bet money those wheels are project 6GR- Tens

That's what I've got. (20x10/20x11)

I'm also lowered an inch, and I have a 777 Mach 1 front end, with the handling pack splitter... and yea, IM LOW.
Having had the i5autohaus gt500 bumper for a few years. Its about the same ride height. I can confirm I Scraped quite a few times.

Had my first scrape with the new front end last week but the damage was minimal.

It depends where you live too.
I'm on Long Island, right on the ocean so we get cold winters and a lot of moisture and the roads in my town aren't in the greatest condition. I bet things would be smoother if I lived in Vegas or Arizona.

Over the years, I've sort of mapped out the bad spots in town so I know where they are and how to avoid them.

At the end of the day, I feel like a little front splitter damage is something you notice way more than the people admiring your car. You can always have it repaired or replaced.

Yeah, the other opinion was that those were 20s with a 30 sidewall + 1" drop.

So my ride height would be about the same as the car shown

- 19s instead of 20s
- 35 sidewall instead of 30
- 0.5" drop instead of 1" drop

We have a "traffic calmed" neighborhood cause of all the kids racing their shit boxes down the other end of the street. Basically, these are large speed bumps placed at various lengths of the street.

Also, Toronto and the GTA are absolute crap for roads. I only drive this car during the summer months now so am not worried about snow or ice but even some of the construction must be done by very unskilled labor cause it either is way out of spec or it lasts a year and then falls apart after winter.

It would absolutely suck to have to map out my life. "Good road, good road, good road, BAD ROAD, good driveway, good driveway, OMG get some 2x4 and lay them out so I can roll up that one" LOL

It's not so much, "bad road" more like "bad spot"

I drive into the stopnshop lot from the side, rather than the main cuz there's a nasty dip there.
Few bad corners that don't look like much, but the asphalt dips toward the curb and when your tire is in that dip, the front end scrapes.

Little things like that. No matter how careful you are, it doesn't matter.

I have speed bumps too, but they aren't a problem. I just go over them slow, they've never damaged my car

I’m going to take the mustang out this weekend and get some pictures of my car on the edge of one of those speed bumps to get an idea what life would look like if I went with a more aggressive front end.

I have the same front end on a 17 and I'm lowered on the Ford Performance Track Handling Pack. Was on coilovers before switching to FRP. The 777 front bumper hangs lower than the stock bumper, and lowered an inch you will be hitting curbs if you pull in front first. Best thing to do is always back in if you're worried about that.

Have you tried to contact 777 and see what the drop is from a stock bumper?

Definitely PGR 10s

After about 3/4" your drop is overall hurting your handling. (I know not everyone cares about handling).

A 3/4" drop is fine IMHO for clearance on the street in most cases as long as your chin spoiler doesn't get too low. The GT500 bumpers do look a bit lower but I can't confirm.

Keep in mind that the 30 or 35 sidewall number is the aspect ratio of the tire width, so a narrower 35 series tire could set the car lower than a wider 30. To figure how the tire will affect ride height the tire's diameter is what you should be concerned with.

Good point. My tire dimensions are in my sig but I have no idea the width of this guys wheels.

no I haven’t reached out to 777 performance yet. I’ll do that when I get home today.

I usually back into parking spots now even with only a 0.5” drop and without a new front end.

So I heard from a guy who runs the 777 Performance GT500 front fascia; his S550 is lowered about 0.75" and running on 19s with the same tires I have.

Survey says................................ it's LOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!! Like if I'm reading this right (see below) it's too low to be something you want to "daily" (this means weekend cruises LOL) in a city like Toronto.

"Hey man! Thanks for the thumbs up. Your ride is looking sick! Even with a mild drop like yours you will still run into issues. I have damaged the front a few times just driving around. by damage I mean scrapes here and there and one time it ripped bolts out of the front splitter which was expensive af to sort out. I am careful and I back into parking spots and everything but it still happens. Did I mention how it is stressful driving to new places cause you dunno if you gonna tear the front end up. My wife refuses to drive the car. If I were to do it over again I would keep stock ride heigh, go with 20" wheels and then put this bumper. Even then you might scrape a little getting into the parking lot".

DISAPPOINTED!!!! lol

Sounds like it may not be the best move.

I did write 777 Performance to ask them what is the difference in clearance between a GT and one with their bumper installed (assuming they have info on apples to apples for both then I can deduct that from my own ride height to see).

Hey @JustSomeGuy

777 wrote me back. Those dudes are super responsive!!!

The Triple Seven GT500 front fascia sits approximately 1 inches lower than the stock GT Premium bumper. This design provides an aggressive stance and enhances the airflow, particularly beneficial for supercharged setups.
The black 777 on their page has been lowered 1" and is riding on 19s so that aught to really give you an idea of how low this would be on a 0.5" drop.

Beautiful machine and those look like the stock PP wheels although he may be dropped an inch as that back end seems pretty low from what I remember the stock ride being.

Agree, looks like .5-1” drop. Def good looking setup…
