i have the mach thunder right now and just installed some SP lt's last week and its RIDICULOUSLY loud now. I am wondering if anyone has the mach XV mid pipe and can comment on volume with catless lt's.

I have the hatless LT with a mach V. Honestly it's much more manageable. Its quiet unless I step on it. A little louder than stock if I shift around 2500 rpm.....above that it sounds pretty mean and no rasp at all. I had the solo race and lt before and it was horrible.

i had (still have in shed actually) the street race mid pipe also, it was loud before the headers, cant imagine it after!!

mach v sounds promising, if its still too loud i will just have to add some bullet mufflers somewhere

It's loud, but not obnoxious. When you get on it, it's VERY loud. You'd think the car had cutouts because of how it goes from tame to violent when you go WOT.

This video is from when I was N/A with the Mach XV and SP 1 7/8" catless longtubes.

And this video is with the blower. All that changed is it got louder at WOT...oh and it sounds like a jet from the front lol.

hmmm... maybe i will try bullets first since thats cheaper than a new mid section. yours is definitely quieter than mine right now, but it could be the video.

I think Solo will sell you a mid pipe separately that is a direct fit. To my knowledge the only difference between the mach xv and the thunder is the mid pipe, so one can be swapped in for another.

Yeah you can get a new mid section. That's what determines which model you have.

I have the MAK deletes and Mach Thunder and understand where you're coming from. I can baby the throttle and it's manageable.

Been thinking about pinging solo and trying out the XV.

Cold start is nuts

Has anybody ever tried changing out the mid-pipe to something else besides solo Performance. I have the Mach XV on my car and wondering if I could change that muffler out for something else, sat from Borla, Magnaflow etc...

I don't even know if I do yet. But my car is coming off the dyno now with the supercharger and no cats now, and I think it might be too much for me now is all. I haven't even heard it in person yet, just speculating...
