I appreciate everyone's kind words. I had a 2004 Mach 1 in the same color scheme, so it's definitely a bit bittersweet for me. This decision wasn't made lightly.

Likely still an immature ideal hanging around in yo head wanting the best of the best (in my eyes) and just not wanting to let go.

Onward and upward, just different!

Congratulations and a great move on the CT5-V BW! I would love to have one myself. The only thing that would scare me is the desire to modify things. If I had one, I would like that Larry Larson type of power. He has that killer 2D CTS-V.

Would love to walk the new owner through everything. I want to hide a note somewhere, but I'm assuming that the detail guys would remove anything left in the car. (Anyone know of good hiding spots?)
When I traded my 17 GT vert for my mach, I hid a post it note with original owner and my phone # in the vanity mirror on the drivers side visor. About 2 months later, I got a phone call when the new owner found it.

I keep telling myself, "no mods! No mods!" It never happens 😂

that's definitely a spot I'm gonna use. Just figure it'd be cleaned out. Thanks!

My guess the detail guys figure the vanity mirrors rarely get used, so they never bothered to check. Also, don't leave anything extra in the car like covers or the owners kit unless they pay you extra for them. I had a cover that was specifically made to fit a vert and I put it in the trunk. Somewhere between me trading it in and the new owner buying it down in Atlanta, someone helped themselves to the cover and she had to buy a new one.

For sure. I'm gonna take everything out with hopes the new owner can hit me up somehow and I'll send it all to them!

Also I folded the original window sticker and put it between the pages of the owners manual and they found it and tossed it, so keep that too.

I bought a used GT500. Asked for the original window sticker. They said they never saw it/had it. When I got the car home and started going through it, I found the WS folded up in the little secret owners manual slot (whatever that's called) in the glove compartment. Made my day.

Congrats on the bad ass caddy OP but a previous poster is correct that it’s far closer to a 4 door Camaro and a 4 door corvette. Engine location alone ends the comparison.

Except that you're considering the wrong generation of Corvette, but yeah, I get it. Depends on what review you watch as to who said Camaro and who said Corvette. Don't really care but y'all sure seem to.

Nah, but i am a bit jelly. I woukd love to have a BW. Not sure my household CFO would approve of the added investment requirements.

Well having the Mach paid off and having that as a huge down payment surely helped in our situation getting the 5BW. I'm excited.

Huge congrats! Heck, I'm excited for you.

I played with the idea of a 5BW manual a while ago (would have been an even trade for my Mach 1 and my truck, which are both paid off) but the Mach 1 is plenty fast and fun and the truck is my daily and hauler for anything bulky.

Curious to see how you like the 5BW.

I'm keeping the Raptor as the main-daily, I suppose, but at least I won't be concerned with getting this one wet, driving in the rain, parking it outside at the airport, etc. I treated the Mach 1 like a baby, or a princess. I plan to drive the pants off this 5BW.

I dunno, I guess that's why there's only 2200 miles on the Mach 1 and I've had it for 2+ years. I just never drove it and when I had the opportunity to do so, it was a lot to unplug from the tender, take the cover off, check tire pressure, get it out and then to what, drive it 5 min down the road? Easier to just hop in the Raptor and get on with my day.

Hopefully this will be a bit more "sane" to my brain and I'll just drive the damn thing like a normal car. Hell, my wife beats the pants off her Porsche Cayenne Turbo S e-hybrid and it was more expensive than the Raptor + 5BW together and she couldn't think twice about eating/drinking in it, rain, snow, parking in the blazing sun, etc.

I wish I could be that way but I'm just not lol.

I have looked at getting a sedan again and I do like the upcoming 2025 refresh of the CT5. And would probably settle for a V with the V6 TT and AWD. As something different from my Mustang, a turbo and an AWD system with 4 doors.
