How is the hood body lines over time?
I would think the struts and the crumble zones of the hood would tweak the hood over time. Stressing it every time you go to shut it against the struts . Over time giving the hood a bow.

For me I got the lighter pressure GT350 hood struts. No issue probably have opened 150 times in the last year. Redline is who I went with. They are not all created equal

Ditto to everything @DougS550 said, except I have no idea how many times I've opened my hood with my Redline Quicklift PLUS struts installed. I do know they are one of the first things I got after I bought my Shelby in February 2020, so I've had absolutely no problem with them after nearly a year and a half.

...my '20 Challenger came with struts.
If Dodge can put 'em on, why can't Ford????????:asshat:

...p/s: don't need to complain, the Challenger didn't
have 'one touch up' windows.
Try getting used to holding the button once you get used to not........

I have only one recommendation, put a set screw on the driver's side lower strut mounting plate, it turns and puts the actuator in a binding position. Other than that, they work great.

Ive done so many mods, hood replacements, ETC . This past week alone with the mods I am doing now, I will be opening and closing my hood for adjustments at least 50 times. Just never ends. Later

I plan to keep mine stock for awhile. I am bad with cars and project creep.
What type of mods, is there a build thread on your car?

I should do a build thread. How and where would I start? Just start a new post and list subject as mods?.

Those do look awesome, their website says they fit up to 2017 MY. Has anyone tried to install them on the 18-20s?
I recently bought the CPC hood struts designed for the '15-'17 models. They won't fit my '20 GT. The spacing between the hood bolts holes is different. It's about a 1/4" shorter on my car plus the size of my hood bolts are smaller. I have 6mm bolts and the CPC bracket has 8mm holes. I think I can elongate the bottom hole a 1/4" and sleeve the bolts to make up the gaps. There is another difference. The top of the bracket where the strut ball is attached extends about 1/4" too far to fit the space. The hood dips down at that point making the bracket rub. I think I can grind enough off the back side of the bracket to make it fit without weakening the ball attachment point. I'm going to try anyway.
