So if I turn on my car with the push buttons, and get out...

So if I turn on my car with the push button, and get out while the engine is running (and keep the key in my pocket), someone else with no key gets in and drives away. What happens, how far do they get? I couldn't find these answers in the owners manual. Does it shut off or can they just keep going until they turn it off?

Under those circumstances, no they will not drive off with your car. If they get in and try to put it in gear the car will not shift into gear. A no key detected message will come up. Besides, when you step out of your car while running. As soon as you close the door, the car will honk and lock the doors. This is what my car does being an automatic. 6 speed should be similar .

Can confirm. Car locks when you close the door while it's still running. I use this feature to keep my dog cool while I run in to a store or something.

Try it and find out. Turn on the car, leave the door open, put the keys down, get back in the car and try to go for a ride.

I dont know about an automatic.

well you'd have the fob in your pocket so when you go to unlock it then it'll unlock, or have you checked without the fob?

Can Confirm,
I started my car hid the keys under another car i knew wasn't going anywhere and drove around the parking lot a few times, other than the warning poping up every once in a while the theif would be good to go until he shut it off, Even if he stalls it it gives him a few seconds to restart it
