Hello,

This thread will be dedicated to my full build!

I will mainly be drag racing at any events in 4 hour drive from NY tristate area, I plan on beating the piss out of this car as often as possible, the goal is a true 9 sec street car/show car that I can drive to and from the track in one piece. NO trailer queens for me unless I will be traveling further then 4 hours! This thread will be the updated every few days.

Date of Purchase: April 6th

April 6th- Drove from dealer lot to Atco race dragway nj 4 test passes best pass of the night 12.61 @ 116 2.1 60ft, track prep terrible 43 degrees.

April 10th - went down to my guys at northeast racing in south nj. 4 runs on the dyno best being 423hp & 401ft of tq.... the decision was made I place order for custom vortech supercharger kit JT TRIM.

April 13th - I went back to atco made 3 passes and my buddy made 2 passes with my car, he said he would go faster well that didn't work out to well for him lol.

my other car on welds!

I had to get some wheels, I was looking at the forgestar drag wheels and racestar drag pack but all my other cars had welds on them, so I couldn't cheap out and bit the bullet on the welds. I bought the fronts 18x8 from a guy in Texas he had them listed on fb market so $850 shipped which was a great deal they were brand new in the box. I order the rears 17x10 from American muscle I found a discount code and wheels shipped to my door were $1006.00 I used the free shipping they offered and the wheels came next day. I bought the m/t et street ss from a local guy he matched summits pricing. The plan was to swap stock front tires to the front welds then after I had wheels installed I realized they were 2355018 smh! the car look not only like a monster truck but car looked like it had air ride lmao I was so excited to put the wheels on and never realized the stock fronts weren't 2354018, so the next day I called some local tire guys and got a pair of 2354018 Michelin as3 for $240 for the pair I went back to my friends shop and we swap the front tires out and the car looks a lot better! just wish I could a run a 15x10 wheel without doing the calipers because I like the meaty tire 2756015 but I will eventually do that in the future and keep the 17x10 with reg tire for daily driving.

So that all I have for now still waiting on vortech to show up, it should be here Monday or Tuesday. I am not installing the supercharger myself my buddies at northeast racing will be doing the install. I can do anything mecahnical on any car just the price with installation was worth it, drop it off and pick it up lol. The supercharger install will be fully documented for videos and magazine articles, the car will be feature for the first time at American muscle show on June 16th in the vortech booth as far as I was told. I am currently looking for some sponsors to jump on the bandwagon with me so I've been sending out some emails to companies. thank you for reading and following my build!

Here an update


I went back to atco over the weekend with the drag radials the best pass of the 2 I made was 12.1 @116 1.8 60ft. I will be going to the event at maple grove this weekend running the car na for the last time, will up tire pressure looking to get some more mph and maybe squeeze either 12.0 or 11.9.

The vortech supercharger was delivered on Tuesday, installation will begin this coming tues. Rob Shoemaker at palm beach dyno will be tuning the car, also he hooked me up with a ngauge to be used for the hp tuners. I made the decision today that I will also be working with AWE tuning for my exhaust, order was placed today so hopefully I will have it by June 16th for American muscle show.

Supercharger install has finally begun!! The last 2 weeks not being able to bring the car to the shop has been torture but the install has started, brackets and blower are mounted it up. The piping intercooler and hoses are next thing to do and just waiting on rob to give the sno blower a tune.

Awesome OP. I bought a similar car about a month before you. My car is a 301A 10r80 with 3.15 gears.

My best 100% stock time was 12.5@115.

I added a Lund e85 tune and a drag radial and went 11.9@120 first try with tune.

Who did you buy the blower from? I bought a Paxton set up from Beefcake for my 2014 about 5 years ago and his prices were the best far and away.

I bought the blower thru alloutracing/northeastracing friends of mine, I know I'm one of the first with the vortech on the 18 think there is 2 other cars. my guys can hook you up on the price! the install should be finished Tuesday I live about 2 hours from the shop haven't had time to get down there.
