I'm going to buy gt350 replica wheels soon. I'm going to do a square setup of 20x10. My only question is, what size tires should I get? I'm going to get nitto nt555 g2 tires. Should I go with 275 or 285? What's the difference, better long run and pros/cons?

I assume the car currently has 235/55x17 or 235/50x18 wheels and tires? The 17" has a diameter of 27.18 and the 18" has a diameter of 27.25, very similar. If you go with a 275/35x20 you get 27.58 diameter about a 1/4" more in diameter. The 285/35x20 gives you 27.85" diameter you now are at a 1/2" more in diameter and might experience a slight speedometer variation. The difference in width of the two tires is about 1/2".

275 will have a very slight stretch to them. 285 is a much better tire size for our cars, you will like it. I do see you have the v6' so 275 will be enough power wise. Have you thought about going to 19s? A squared setup of 275/40/19 would be pretty ideal.

Thanks for the replies. But I'm getting 20x10 because I'm getting the gt350 replicas and they are 20x10. I wouldn't want 19 because I know they are harder to find tires so more expensive. I just don't want to get a tire size and it rubs a little or anything. I currently have stock Springs and yes I do have a v6 with 17 inch. I think I might go with 275 though just in case.

You can fit much bigger tires than the 285 even with no problems.

This brings up a great point and leads me to my suggestion.

Ball the fuck out! Put some 315s in the back and slap a twin turbo on your engine. Put down like 700whp and start smoking some vettes.

But the 275s work really well too...

he's got the V6 lol... I'm sure the motor can do it but it probably requires a bit more work than the coyote.

With 10 inch rims yes....as 285 is the standard tire size for that width
