I've read many threads on GT350 premium stereo sans trunk bass speaker. From my reading a upgrade of the pillar tweeters and the addition of a bass speaker would provide a good system. Without a head change.

So I trolled the Shop manual and it seems Ford might have just left out the Trunk amp and speaker but the wiring is there for it.

So my question is has anybody looked at doing this way? I attached all the wiring pics, locations and connectors.

OEM integration of the Shaker sub and tweeters would be a definite option. Hopefully someone can verify this.

My only concern when doing speaker and amps are if the factory wires are strong enough to handle it. Does someone know what gauge they are?

Oh, and of course the active noise cancelling and engine amplifying crap. Those would have to go.

I am upgrading tweeters and door speakers this weekend, I believe the weakest link in the Mustang audio are speakers... Did the same on my previous one, and it came out good... I mean no audiofile quality, but much much better than factory, and you can hear the high hats and bass very well.

I highly recommend 2 way infinity speakers.

Have a link? - i'd like to swap in some speakers at some point - nothing expensive or complicated just something decent.

I highly recommend Hybrid Audio, especially if they have a dealer near you. Best speaker in the market for the dough.

Yes, you just need to replace the speaker in the door, the panel stays the same, you can't tell what is under there... so as stock as it can be :)

I've looked and looked and can't seem to find an equalizer in the stereo control software. Hard for me to believe they don't have one. After all, it's just DSP software to do it. Did I miss it somewhere in the menus? Is there one that can be enabled with FORSCAN?

If you're wondering why I'm asking, I'd like to do the same thing for this car that I did to the BMW M3's.
