The Importance Of Engineering
.
As you chase performance, Signature Wheel continues to chase being a leader in the wheel industry. Increases in power present an increase in risk. We focus heavily on engineering our wheel designs for strength not only when on track, but also providing safety when things go wrong.
.
The goal behind our engineering process is to ensure the wheel maintains structural integrity in the event of an impact. This means you can continue to control the vehicle until you can get it safely stopped, or out of harms way. Our wheel specific strength requirements are reflected in our spoke thickness, hub thickness, spoke angles, spoke placement and our recommendations for the use of certain designs in vehicle specific applications.
.
With our drag racing program becoming more popular we know many will be using these wheels on the street. It is one of the main reasons we do not build skinny's that are deisnged as off-road only. Making sure these designs go through the same level of testing required of our street/track wheels. Coming soon will be a more robust and lower cost wheel replacement program for enthusiasts that need it.
.
Below are some of the incidents our fellow Mustang enthusiasts have been involved in that show the resilience of our engineering. Including the first time a set of bead lock enhanced wheels have been involved in an accident. Internally we study these photos to ensure future designs continue to work as we intend. We are glad these owners walked away from these events safely and were kind enough to let us share these photos.
.
Our 1:1 consultations with enthusiasts and direct engineering knowledge of our wheel designs ensure you end up with the best possible setup for your needs.
