Our first set of 2020 GT500 wheels is complete. Signature Wheel Track Series SV502 Built to match the OEM Carbon Fiber Track Package 20x11/20x11.5 offsets.

Finished in Gloss Black and equipped with anti slip bead knurling. Shipping to the enthusiast soon so he can get us weights. Expecting them to fall in the 21-23 lb range.

Unfortunately the car won’t be built until March 2020, so stand by for pictures installed. Oh, and we are building him a second set in Gloss Red!

This is getting out of control. 2020 GT500 20x11 / 20x11.5 Track Series SV502 are completed. Finished in Gloss Red for an almost perfect match to the OEM Race Red.

Signature: Those red wheels are downright gorgeous! Problem is, they'd clash with Rapid Red. <smile> Don't suppose that color is in the cards?
I think Crystal Burgundy would be best

Yep, I agree. I even went so far as to add a copy of your 702 to the rear in this photo so I'd have a comparison of the CR's in front and yours in back. Obviously, these don't represent your beautiful creations but for color purposes, I think it's as good as I can get.

The only problem is my better half and I can foresee the stream of words coming out of her mouth when I tell her I want to put new wheels and tires on the car and they might cost as much as $7g's on top of paying for the vehicle. That obstacle may be insurmountable. :-)

Here's my rendition, primitive, but it accomplished my goal.

Personally, I wouldn't replace CF wheels, they look absolutely wonderful on this car. I would want a wheel that looks alike but with better offset. I have the base car and despise the wheel design they went with, and have never liked stock offset, so I will be changing them. However, I will use the stock TPMS and tires to keep the cost down. For the first time Ford put a purposeful size tire on the car from the get go.

Rendering looks good man. We are taking care of the GT500 guys in a big way, and have a great connection on Tires. You would likely be around $5500 all in..... might be a good time to start working the wife.....

I totally understand what you mean about the wheel offsets man. They suck, and personally want to find out more about the engineering behind those choices later this month at the Track Tour.

In regard to the carbon wheel I can see your point of view. When I had the carbon wheels on my GT350R I noticed a huge decline in my enjoyment of the car. Here is why.....

For fun driving around town I was always afraid of damaging the wheel and became paranoid. Hyper vigilant about other drivers and a basket case about parking. Didn’t want to drive far on the SC2 tire for fear of burning them up and dealing with a tire shop switching them out. Couldn’t drive the car safely on the R compound tire in the wet or cold as they didn’t have traction. Then I saw a buddy delaminate the weave on his carbon wheel after hitting a rock in the roadway. At $4000 a piece to replace it’s the the cost of a full set of fully forged wheels from us..... The icing on the cake.... the front caliper clearance is so tight that rocks or debris would get in there and damage the barrel/caliper. It’s going to be the same on the GT500.

The carbon wheel is super cool and a stud on the road course, but it’s like dating a hot girl that’s an alcoholic. It’s all good until it’s bad.

I've always been very curious about the reasoning behind Ford's wheel offsets for the mustang. I ended up buying a set of PP2 replicas with a better offset just for that reason. Please let us know what you find regarding the engineering behind the offset choices.

And what's all this that I hear that a carbon fiber wheels is better than aluminum?

50: Thanks for the compliment and your estimate on both wheels AND tires sounds a whole lot more tasty than my own calculations. But after looking at my render for a couple days, I've decided that this vehicle really needs black wheels. So, can you point me to the model that most closely matches the stock CF wheels (and won't be a major pain in the butt to clean?)

Thanks in advance...

Yes, there are a lot of us who just want CF replica wheels that carry the quality signature is known for.

I agree Terrance. Why not just create a CF replica wheel to make us CFTP folks happy?

Tom: That is one of THE best suggestions I've heard in a long while. I hope Terrance is listening. :-)
