If rarity was your objective then I don't know why you traded even without knowing about the 2019 and 2020 GT350. There's been what, 13000 GT350s up to 19MY? And only about 4000 Boss 302's?

The 2020 will not have a cross plane crank motor, but will have the GT500 block.

I loved my Boss 302, and still think it's more fun around town but overall... it's almost impossible to go back.

I'll be trading my '13 Boss 302 in when my '19 PP2 arrives. It's a tuff decision, best live axle car Ford has ever built. I didn't buy mine because it was limited production, I bought it because it was a Boss 302. It took my '66 G.T.350 many years to appreciate to the value it has today. Did I buy it 38 years ago with that in mind? no. I bought it because of what it was and drove the wheels off it. I love my boss but the new chassis is superior, the interior is more comfortable, and I feel the PP2 will be easier to live with on a daily bases. I'm 61, by the time these new cars appreciate I'll be long gone.

The GT350 has uniqueness in spades, it's all in the motor. I feel it's a rarity vs uniqueness thing. There's hundreds of thousands of V8 cross plane crank Mustangs, but only 13000 flat plane cranks. Perhaps think of it that way.

But yes, the GT350 is being produced for much longer than any of us thought it would be.

I think you've probably figured out by now, it's not getting the GT500 motor, just sharing the more stout block. The GT350 isn't going to be supercharged as far as I have seen.

Same block but cross-plane that way it can handle the low end torque the roots throws at it. However being cross-, it doesn't rev as high... Factory tune. The 500 will be a monster... I can see it now ... tuner and pulley kit... 875... Just need the tire to hook, 9 second car ... at least one time.
Oh yeah, sorry, but you should have kept the BOSS.

Sometimes I wish I would’ve owned a Boss (test drove quite a few) before I got my ‘15 gt. I’d still really like to have one some day but I know that the s550 takes the cake in all departments (especially once modified) so it would be hard to go back to an s197. I do like the uniqueness of the boss. In my neck of the woods, you never see them. But I like the fact that they’re capable of just about anything. You can take it to road course during the day, bolt on some stickies and hit the strip. And if it’s your sort of thing, you can drag some asses red light to red light. All while sporting the best color Ford ever put on a Mustang, Competition Orange!

I have a boss and a 15 gt
I want another boss because I like how it drives and feels. Also want a 04 comp orange Mach 1 because I liked the way they drove too.
I like the 15 but I feel more in tune with the boss
Not planning to sell any unless doctor bills get too high that I need to make a choice......medical issues with my son.
They are all good cars and like the new ones too just can't pull trigger on anything now.
SUV will be needed first before another mustang... unless I get a killer deal on both mustang and SUV.

Funny you mention the Mach 1, I used to have one. I sold it a few years back, always did like the raw feel it had, same with the Boss. I got to drive one a month or so ago as my brother was looking into buying it and it made me miss that car way more than I thought I ever would. The good ole days

I too loved my Boss 302, but it wasn't perfect. It has a unique character, and is definitely more fun on the street than GT350. One comparison I've heard in the past is that Boss 302 FEELS like a race car with a licence plate....and the 350 IS a race car with a license plate. The superiority of the 350 shines if you track it at all...but you really can't go wrong with either car. It depends on what is important to you.

Why did you not just keep the 302 when getting the GT350? That is what I would have done.

I gave that some thought, then my bank account told me NO can DO ! ....However since seeing the new GT500 ...... I have to admit I have been thinking about a possible trade for a GT500 .. ( I only have 235 miles on the GT 350 ) .. soooo I might see how far this train is going to go , 526 hp ......700+ HP .... might be something to consider! will see ...
