I just installed a steeda tri-ax race short throw shifter in my 2019 and I’m actually not sure if it’s supposed to be hard to wiggle left to right in neutral. Install went smooth and i followed the cj pony parts guide, and it shifts into gears excellently. Can anyone let me know if it is supposed to be like that?

It depends on the springs that you used. I found that I prefer no springs in the shifter to keep it easy to shift through the gates.

If you wiggle it more than once, you're playing with it...

I have the same shifter with the stuff springs and yes, it’s very hard to wiggle. Also very stiff moving left to get into first from neutral, more so than right to get into 5th

I have this shifter in my 2019 Bullitt. As stated above, this is normal with the stiff springs Installed.

Was it worth the upgrade from stock?
absolutely. Feels so much better even with the stiff springs. Also a pretty simple install if you plan to do it yourself.
