Seems straightforward to me....

Shop's technician damaged seat = shop paying upholstery shop to repair seat....

You shouldnt be having to go back and forth with the am.....I would talk directly with the person authorized to make the decision at the tint shop....

It doesnt matter how soft the seat cover is.... It wasnt damaged before their man worked on the car.......If the tech wasnt trying to rush things, he would have taken the child seat out ......

That should come out after a day or 2. Leave it parked in the sun.

If it's real leather heat probably won't help much. Once you stretch leather to a certain point it'll never go back to the way it was. I would say tell them about it now and get it fixed while you can still blame them. If you wait they may just deny it and say it's your fault.

I've noticed the seats are prone to indents, but they seem to be gone by the next day for me. I haven't had anything as bad as yours though.

After it happened my car sat in an air conditioned garage most of the weekend, but after sitting out yesterday in the hot sun all day, it's almost completely back to normal. There's still a slight indention but I have a feeling that's going to work out in another day.

The shop already told me to bring it by and they would have their vinyl repair person take care of it. I won't be able to take it in for another 2 days and I have a feeling by the time I do it's not going to be an issue. Who knew the hot sun could have positive effects on your cars interior?
