Ship my Mustang to Japan for month long vacation?

I'd be worried about the shipping and then the inspection process. Would suck to ship it only to have it tied up for the entire time or even 3 of the 4 weeks.

I think I'd try to find a shipper who specialises in cars to Japan, they would be able to inspect before you loaded it. I know it is not fool proof but if it is inspected to the same degree as it will be in Japan it should go smoother.

I would leave my Mustang at home in a nice garage. I would appreciate driving my Mustang all that much more after missing it for a month. I think it would be fun to rent different cars and see what they feel like. Just think of all the money saved by not shipping a car over sea. Could spent money saved on good food.
