Are the stripes gloss? Metallic? Matte? Is there a difference in painted stripes? ie gloss etc?

The only difference between the painted stripes is a color. You may check out this .

Edit: Hmm something I was not aware of, may be for the 2019 but new to me. If you do a black roof, the stripes still go over the top. Was not like that for my 2017. Not sure if I like that...

My recently delivered GT350 painted black roof option has no black vinyl stripes or accent stripes over the top despite the little picture from Ford's customer site that suggested they would so that. Just FYI.

$10k for some stripes makes a Tremec swap seem like a bargain by comparison. Just sayin'.

They clearly still have some bugs to work out. Some of the images aren't rendering real clean but it is nice to see color combinations.

It also lists the rear tires as being 19" while the front is 20"

As others have stated, they have some issues to work out with the configurator. I've noticed they may have Velocity Blue and Performance Blue mixed up, or at least not consistent with the 2019 configurator or real life examples. The color swatches to choose from on the left show the correct color, but when it "paints" the car in the chosen color on the right, the colors are off. Choose Velocity Blue and it "paints" the car Performance Blue (or maybe some other color) and vice versa. It's this way on all the 2020 Mustang configurators as well. FWIW, the colors were more representative in the 2019 GT350 configurator. I'm glad that I've seen real life examples of these colors and know what to expect.

Its just fun to do the configs on the cars and see how the colours come out. I see the bugs, I.T. will get that worked out. Nice for Ford to have it up though and let people see the colours and options they ordered.

I'll tell ya more. I've already placed an order and still have a lot of fun with that configurator.

Also, another error, the rear taillight graphics in the config tool are the GT350 lights from the pre-refresh Mustang. The GT500 has the updated Mustang rear lights from '18+, a good thing as they are improved IMO.
