Shaking at 85mph

Was on the highway today and was cruising around 70 and decided to hit it and noticed as soon as I hit 85mph the car started shaking.

Any suggestions on what could it be?

if while coasting and accelerating--not braking. most likely it's tires out of balance.

if tires are balanced something worn/torn/broken in front end of the suspension.

if when braking brake rotors are warped.

if still persists after need to diag further. most likely something i've mentioned. check tires and balance first.

I had this problem. If after balancing tires it continues buy a Steeda alignment kit. Have the car aligned. Then buy and install a set of Steeda IRS braces. Owners have fooled around with Ford with mixed results and a lot of wasted time. This worked for me. And the car corners much better.

Was it the whole car or just the hood? When I had an S197, I noticed my air deflector under the car came loose which caused a lot of hood vibration above 70mph. Upon properly re-securing to my car, the issue went away.
