When you say it changes it, what do you mean? Seeing I bought a convertible I don't' expect it to be incredible at cornering but if it can handle better while staying comfortable it is something I may look into eventually as well.
What I mean is much better cornering ability, front end dive on hard braking is gone, and the car overall is more fun to drive, without ruining the ride. A convertible is heavy and no racer in my opinion. I'd for sure have gone for the hardtop if I were looking at autocross or track days. But for "spirited driving" in the North Georgia mountain on a beautiful day, this is the game plan. I no longer regret not buying the Boxster I was considering. This is certainly no GT350 now, but it's waaay better than stock in terms of driving dynamics.

White Verts rock!

TJ...did you go with the 3/8" rear spring spacers since the verts weigh 200 lbs more?

Thanks

You folks may not know it but reading this thread may be dangerous to me. I'll be getting my 2020 GT convertible with PP1 (is that how you do Performance Package 1?), MagnaRide and everything in about 4 weeks. So you can actually put roll bars and 4 point harnesses in these? uh-oh.

Dear 'Gone'

You already have a great setup! Lucky you! The Steeda roll bar looks great and is functional!

If you look at the list of Steeda upgrades they did on they vert, the one that stands out first would be the Steeda Extreme G-Trac K-Member Support Brace.

I have the simpler Steeda brace but do not track my car...so the Extreme 4-point makes sense for track duty.

I'd say this is a slippery slope but it sounds more like a finely banked curve!

Yesterday...I upgraded my radiator to a Ford Performance version found on the Performance Pack versions. Plus, I did the 6 year antifreeze change as recommended in my owners manual. I switched to the yellow version per Ford recommendations. 2 gal + 1.7 gal distilled water.

Any type of track work (or parade work) will benefit from this upgrade.

Bought mine from Levittown Ford-see Benny.

Nice! So you're right about having a good setup to start, I'll have the bigger radiator. My older son and I are already sharing info about possible tracks or holidays like a day or two at the Ford Performance School. He's the one that will encourage me to do fun stuff with the GT.

Don’t forget a good sport alignment for the street is the cherry on top, to get a really good handling convertible. Stock alignment from Ford for the verts is very conservative. Of course you will need to install a set of camber plates and then find a competent alignment shop to get it done.
