Seriously, how does the EPA rate this car at 14 city and 21 highway?

Grandpa can remember when 12 MPG was great. If you told someone you were getting 16 MPG they looked at you funny. That was on any American car.

Get your foot out of it, rev it less, and you will get better mileage.

My car's MPG meter shows over 20% more MPG (13.3) than what I actually get (10.8) measuring the mileage/gallons.
There is a fix for that. Hold the OK button on the left side of the steering wheel and press the start button and a menu comes up. You toggle through to a four digit number and it should be at 1000. You can adjust that up and down. If your car is reading over then you adjust down. Tweak as necessary.

Did this on my 2016 F150 (2.7 ecoboost) and it is now within ~0.5mpg of the hand calculation. I consider that to be within the margin of error of both measurements.

Averaging 14.X per the in dash reading "lie-o-meter" on my 2019 right now. Will be getting gas this afternoon on the way home from work and hand checking. My 2011 GT500 used to average in the 12's so I am used to it. I do get over 20 on high way drives.

Really? That’s good to know.
You can also toggle up and make yourself feel better? Honey, I’m getting 32mpg at the track...see.
Seriously though, I’ve talked to people and have seen YouTubers talk about fuel expenses. “It cost me $XX to fill up and that lasts all week”. No mention of cost of fuel, how many miles they drive during that week, what kind of driving they do and what size tank they have.
The fact that folks don’t understand the simple math to calculate it themselves baffles me.

I've only had my 17gt for about a week and upon receiving the car, I went and reset the trip counter. From a full tank I mange to average 14.3mpg. Most of my commute (15 miles one way) has an average speed of 45 mph with a speed limit of 55 mph. Thinking about this just reminded me that I have 30 miles to empty :)

What’s your total miles being driven to/from when you’re out and about?

How long is your drive for that route?

What is your total or average speed while driving those miles?

How many traffic lights are in that path driven?

How many times did you stop for a drink, bathroom break, food or other BS during that travel period?

Are you a WOTing from every stop like like John Force, or are you driving like you have a stack of full egg cartons on the hood?

Are your tires practically flat or are they inflated to at least or close to the recommended PSI (which always should be the cold reading)?

The above may seem like stupid questions, but MPG for me may be excellent while MPG for someone else with the same exact car/equipment may be shit - and the above is simply why...

+1 on the WOTing it from time to time. I'm sure that doesn't help with the MPG.

I have 2700 Mile on my 19 and I'm averaging 14-16 in town. Took it to amarillo and back cruise set at 80 and got 27.2 going there and 25.3 coming back round trip avg 26.1 I'm ecstatic!

I WOT all the time and still manage 18.1 mpg in town (was 18.2 but lost .1 mpg due to the bias plies). Can't see a voodoo being that much of a pig haha

After my break-in mileage I went on a 190 mile trip to my sisters house. Normal mode, 70 mph with cruise on and barely managed to get 18.9 mpg (car computer).

I'm at 1200 miles, 13.6 in mixed driving. Good thing I love the car as much as I do.

Best mileage I've seen is 19 mpg on a 1000+ mile drive from NJ to FL, almost all highway. Probably averaged 70+ mph but the biggest issue is I rarely drive in 6th gear - shuts down sport exhaust!
