Ford really should have done the ZL1 thing and added the power/ventilated Recaros. I understand their ‘track purpose’ response but it’s BS at this price point.
The 500 Recaros are ‘slightly’ roomier than the 350 Recaros but definitely tighter than the non-350/500 Recaros.
I talked to the Recaro engineer at the Track Attack showcase.
I may add aftermarket ventilation on my ‘22s Recaros but it’s not too bad in my ‘14.
On the exterior color I think the Iconic is more unique but you can’t go wrong either way. Black roof and white strikes to complete the package would get my vote.

I agree on the power Recaros, but they are still a bit tight for stocky guys like me. lol
I also wish they would lose that bright white trim. Looks Ok with some color combos but not so much with others. A light or dark gray trim would look much better IMHO

It actually is a light grey. I color matched it to Sherwin Williams’ “Windstorm”. It’s the closest color swatch I could find.

For me the recaros were the only option. I had the heated/cooled seats in my 20 pp1 and they are laughably bad for anything but cruising down the highway. It’s pretty embarrassing ford put them in the gt500. But, I’m sure they are nice for older people or people that will never drive the car anywhere near its limit which is sadly most.

When I ordered my 2021 I ordered with the heated and cooled seat for the comfort of every day driving. I also bought a used Recaro seat that I could put in the car for track days. This way I have my daily driving comfort and on track days I have the support of the Recaro.

I have driven mine at 196mph in comfort seats, how fast have you been? lol

I’m pretty sure he wasn’t referring to “limits” as speed.
Your probably right. My point is being comfortable doesn't mean we can't drive our cars around a course either. Some people like Recaros. But I have seen more people looking to sell their Recaros than vice versa.
I suggest before ordering, a person sits in both. That is the only way to see if you will like them. You don't even have to go for a ride, you will know immediately.

My 2019 PP2 had the heated and cooled seats, I went with the Recaros in my GT500 and they not only fit the car in terms of looks/function, but they are also very comfortable.

As other have said, if you are doing spirited driving, go with the Recaros as the standard seats will not hold you in place. In my PP2, I found it difficult to find support on twisty roads.

Of course, it is your car so, go with whatever works best for you. Both seats are nice, they just serve different purposes.

Good luck
