Senior S550 Owners Like Black Wheels?

52 here and the happy new owner of a 2020 Black GT PP1. On black, red or silver cars I like the black wheels. However my 60 year old girlfriend is a traditionalist and for once she's saying it would be OK to change the wheels, she likes polished aluminum. I do think the car would look classy with polished aluminum. I wonder how the car would look with chrome trim around the windows?

This might be blasphemy, but has anyone painted or powder coated their stock GT black wheels?

If you have, what did you do (paint or powder coat or something else), and what color did you do?

Maybe even bigger blasphemy, but has anyone stripped their black wheels and left them aluminum finish? Maybe with a clear coat?

This is my spare set of “Track” wheels, consisting of stock GT 350 rims, refinished with a “PVD” Chrome type of powder coat.
Rims have “ Stock” tire size Michelin Super Sports.
Bottom is factory finish wheels

If you're talking about the Performance Pack wheels, the optional factory Nickle paint is pretty close to bare aluminum:

73... I've never liked chrome even when I was young. All the chrome badges are gone on both t 16 and 19. So, yeah, I like black wheels. Like the dark look not the shiny.

Love 'em. And, I'm 50... turning 51 this month! . I like both styles/finishes honestly but have become a huge fan of the black wheel option.

I'm in that range of age... and I like a wheel that compliments the car's color and overall aesthetic. So yes black wheels are good with me. Then again I'm still playing video games with 13 yr olds online too. ;)

56 & 62 here. Loved black wheels before 9/17 when we purchased our GT, and love them even more now! The wheels on the ‘21 BAP are off the chain.
