Talk a while ago seemed to revolve around much later iterations. A performance focused platform like mentioned would be a game changer. Keep in mind, this is probably just a concept. I'm looking forward to some facts.

Trust me when I say that both factory and post-factory performance builders are currently working on a new generation of AWD electric performance vehicles. I am told that all will have a new generation of competing electric performance car with amazing capability.

There are still questions whether they will be "track-worthy", (kinda' like "spongeworthy", but different).

S650 was delayed, but Ford didn't back down on electric assisted Mustangs (vehicles).

I think we will see a Mach 1 and a SVO, both using the same type of capacitance/kers type electrification. (see drawings). For acceleration purposes... leaving the v8 and 2.3eb intact.
