Going in the morning. There any top speeds or anything along those lines anywhere in the display that are saved that a buyer could access? I looked through the displays and didn't run across anything except recorded G forces.

I think some parameters are forever stored in the pcm (exceedances etc). Gs, braking, etc IIRC are available via the gui

If so, whoever eventually buys the car from the dealership I sold mine to should see a 166 mph. You can sure haul ass on the roads in Mexico. :)

disconnect the negative battery terminal, wait a few seconds (10-15) and reconnect, to erase any saved data. This also works for bringing your car in for service.

This worked 15 years ago, but not now. You won't believe the amount of data being stored by your vehicle. It would take me too long to list it all.

^This. I just put my battery back in after 5 months and I couldn't believe I didn't have to reprogram anything. Radio presets, bluetooth garage opener button etc. If it keeps those for that long you can be sure many other things are stored.

Just curious ...

If I may ask , why are you getting rid of your Shadow Black ā€˜17 ? ... Trading it in for something else ?

Also , what did they give you for it ? ....

Iā€™m just asking because Iā€™m also from Chicagoland and mine is an ā€˜18 Shadow Black .

Just curious ,

Iā€™m going to ask how you know...
The biggest threat (besides hitting something) at those speeds is a blown tire. When they let go going that fast, damage from the tire shredding apart is severe. The controllability issue could cause a spin to a roll, hit a wall, etc.

I kept my TPMS page up and kept an eye on the tire pressures as well as temps as soon as I pulled into the pit.
