Looking to move on to something different, will be selling my 18 gt350. Curious to know about letting someone test drive this thing, is that something people are comfortable with?

Vette the person out before letting them go on a test drive. I would absolutely go along for the test drive. It would be difficult to sell the vehicle if you don't let the potential buyer drive the vehicle.

Yep, I let them drive, but never alone, I am in the car with them... That is even for my cheaper cars that I sold (Mini cooper s for example, etc). EDIT: I see you got a 2016 M3, how do you like it? Why not the coupe, the M4 ? I was rather tempted after I drove my newly acquired 2009 M3 manual, to go to a new M4 :)

Some will buy a car without a test drive, I couldn't.

OP, for what's it worth. I sold my 15 GT to carvana and they gave me like $200 less than KBB private party value.

Was well worth it to me to avoid the hassle of selling a sports car, especially in your case, with a Shelby.

1st you drive the car with the buyer in the passenger seat. talk to him/her and get an idea of whether they are competent enough to drive the car. after a few miles switch seats to see how he/she does..

i just checked carvana (for fun) to see what they would buy my pristine '18 R for...$41.7k. LOL

OP: cold start should be sufficient.

The E92 is the last of the "good" M3s, with the E46 being the best. Once they went M4 with turbos, it's a drastically different driving experience. Don't be tempted just because the previous gen is good. You should find out for yourself of course and i'd be curious what you think.

Lmao, damn.

Guess it's different for GT's. They paid me way more then I thought so I jumped at it.

For this car, I would drive first and give them an example of its performance. If comfortable with the person, then let them drive it while I was in the passenger seat.

When my family has to drive mine, I remind them of two hands on the wheel as it will groove follow without warning.

Ya that's a joke. They are banking on desperation.

I've had a $58K offer from autonation. Checked them a month later and it was $55k. Bummer but I wasn't selling anyway.

They offered me 35K for my 17 with 9100 miles. I laughed.

I am in the camp of no test drive. I will take the car to a mechanic at their expense if they are concerned. The car has a warranty I assume. Too many joy riders out there. I have sold vehicles with no test drive. They crash your car, you are on the hook and have to go after them for it.

Would you plop down $50,000+ for a used performance car without driving it?
