I love the mt82 on any car but mine.
They are full of issues, and there is only 1 fix.

I tried changing the clutch line, upgrading the shifter, fluid swap, aluminum driveshaft....none of it hit the spot.
Clutch was up next, but before I did that.
I took the car down to the dealer and found my remedy.

I traded that pos for an auto.

All my issues went away.
Don't let the manual guys fool you. They will tell you they are happy, but they don't mean it.
They will say goofy things like "mT82 iS a mAnS tRanSmIsSiOn!".
Watch those same "mEn" get gapped by an old lady late for bingo night.
Missed gears, stalling, bogging, broken clutch forks.
Save yourself the headache and keep that 10r80.

Could have saved a ton of headache with driving lessons? Therapy to learn patience? Maybe yours was a bad one, happy to report mine kicks all the ass. If I feel like it, I can leave many things in the dust from the dig no problems...unless I stall, but that happens maybe once a year or 2 now. No clue how some of you guys are driving your manual cars where that auto econobox pulls away at the dig. Y'all doing it wrong lol.

You're right, Im simply imagining I'm having a good time, when I'm really not. I'm sorry you had a bad unit, but its obvious you're still salty about it, lol.

Here come the "mEn".
I am far from salty, it got me into a 6R.

The MT is a fun cruiser! Shame it's a 1 trick pony.
After warming up my tires, my clutch pedal would get stuck to the floor if the RPMs went past 7k. What does the diving instructor suggest for that?
Because I can tell you what fixed it.

What's the one trick? Did you find out how warm tires will make the clutch pedal stick to the floor? Sorry you got a bad one. Warranty fix would have been cheaper most likely. At least you're trying to be happy with your current car...

It was a 12 CJ car, I could not in all good consciousness take that to the dealer and expect them to fix it.

Why is it that every thread on this site with a question about a Manual vs Auto transmission turns into a freaking….sword fight

Here I’ll end it now… MT82 vs 10R80

And this is coming from both a manual trans and auto trans Mustang owner…

oh and….

Hey, we all knew how this thread would go. I've got manuals and autos in my stable. Best of both worlds :) Don't know what the next one will be...though I think it is going to be a dual-clutch.

Once you made a vehicle moved, it’s easier to make that transition from auto to manual. I bet 30 mins tops you’ll be driving that ok.

This auto guys who bad mouth manual drivers in my opinion, doesn’t know how to drive a manual vehicles. I myself will get a manual car again, but I will keep this fast auto for a long time lol.
