The wheels apex ET56 , with the long opm studs and 35mm spacers . OEM springs and dampers and controller, bmr front bar until 2weeks ago. Now bmr linear springs and bars front and rear. The damping still feels very good with the springs.
thanks!

Looking at buying a full set of project 6gr 5 spoke satin black wheels with 315/705/19 pirelli slicks on them. One tire needs to be replaced. 19x11 fronts and 19x11.5 for the rears.
5 x 114.3 (4.5) bolt pattern 24mm front offset, 55mm rear offset. seller also including a rear set of cup 2’s 315/30/19’s.

I’d be using these on my 2018 R. I understand that I’d likely need a different set of lugs for these. Any comments about these pirelli’s? Owner says on his 350, they were snug and in the past got some rubbing but did not on his last event. Wondering if this would pose an issue with any undesired wear within the wheel well.

I ideally would like to use these wheels on the street with something like PS4’s on them, but I wonder if they’d be more than adequate for my occasional track day use as well to help reduce wear on the CF wheels. Just brain storming with these wheel/tire deal.

Thanks for any input.

Dont project 6gr wheels have poor 350 caliper clearance? I dont have any personal experience, but I've seen several posts and pictures about people runnign them on the track and messing up both wheels and calipers. They might have changed things since.

they do have very little clearance, I ran them on my previous car, a track pack.

I did have one pebble caught and scratched the rim and the caliper...

Fast forward with the GT350R, I have ALL 4 wheels catching pebbles and scratching all carbon wheels and all calipers!
So ... you be the judge.

Thanks for the comments guys! He showed me a bit of rock scrapes in the barrel which looked minimal. I’d rather see that on these wheels vs my CF wheels. But if it damages my calipers, I’d like pass.

I think you're forced to go to 20" wheels to have any reasonable expectation of debris clearing and not gouging stuff. You might be able to still find MRR M600 wheels in 20x11 for like $150 each on Ebay.

Edit: looks like the warehouse has been picked clean. I have a set of five 20x11 et50 in bronze NIB for what it's worth.

Edit 2. Found some.

As for tires, the GoodYear Supercar 3 is a great high performance street tire much akin to the PS4s. The 3R is the sticky version and arguably superior to the Cup2. For just running around on the street General GMAX or Pilot SPort AS3+should be plenty.

Not quite true... Check out Signature Wheels...21 lbs each, and see the clearance. I can easily shove my fingers, hence my cleaning wooly under the caliper with these wheels:

My MRR 19x11's would not clear the front calipers at all for a square setup. Apex wheels had plenty of clearance.

I've ran SC3, SC3r, RE71R (not avail anymore i think), non-R cup 2's, nt01, and super sports on this car so far all mostly on track. SO can't compare to the R cup 2's, but bang for the buck the SC3 is best so far IMO. I run all but the super sports on 19x11 rotatable square and all in 305/30/19 except for super sports I use 305/35/19 on R spec wheels. My fastest laps at my home track were on the RE71R, but we are talking 2 tenths between those and the SC3, and that could just be conditions or driver easily. I haven't ran the SC3R at my home track so not sure yet how much faster they are than the SC3, but they def wear about 2x as fast from what I'm seeing.

I've got 6 days on the SC3 so far and looks like they will last at least another 3 or 4 days.
This is relevant to my interests... I'm on my third set of Hoosier R7s in 295/30 front, 315/30 rear. While extremely sticky, they only give me ~5 track days per set (given 3 to 5 sessions of roughly 25 minutes per session). The R7s cost just under $2k from Tire Rack, with heat cycling. The Goodyear Supercar 3Rs in 305 square are nearly $500 cheaper per set, also with heat cycling.

I'm wondering how much grip, if any, I'd be giving up if I switched to the SC3Rs this season. Even if they don't last any longer than the Hoosiers, it would still be $500 saved for the same amount of track time. 🤔

I'd assume they are less grippy than R7's. I've never ran hoosiers, i don't want to try them as I don't like the cost haha.

I THINK 5 days is possible on the sc3r, but not certain yet. the 1st two days were on a track that's less harsh on tires and brakes than my home track, so not really sure what to expect.

Wait... You're in LaPorte? What's your home track? I do most of my track driving at Putnam Park...

Gingerman is closest to me. I haven't been to Putnam yet. The sc3r were used at grattan so far. Wish I was closer to grattan, that place is a blast!

Getting 5 days out of a set of R7s is impressive. I suspect that'll change with more aggressive tracks and more speed.

I haven't run the the 3Rs, but from those that I know that have, I'd be shocked if you got more than 3 decent days out of them.

The 315/30R19 Cup2s are pretty good in my book for speed and longevity. 5-6 days - though only days 1/2 are "fast."

I agree, most that post about the 3R say 2 or 3 days, but for some reason mine are worn very nicely after 2 days... they could very well fall off in grip soon though.
