The below is from your link

The shot triggers your immune system to attack the foreign organism, like it would if you actually got the disease.

What part of that don't you understand?

People who recovered from covid, or any virus, don't NEED a jab.
If you want one that is your choice, or should be. Not some mandate.

You don't think the booster increases waning antibodies and strengthens your immune system ... regardless of all other aspects, or if you've already had Covid or not? It also makes your natural immune system remember the virus better so it can react faster. What's so negative about that?

If booster shots were not needed for many vaccines, then why are there booster shots for all kinds of vaccines - list in link below. Oh, I forgot it's for the "money grab". 😄 Or is it because the science of virology sees a real reason for a booster shot. Oh, I forgot that science was cancelled. 😏

Hello; There may be nothing negative about a booster or regular jab if the vaccines are as truly "safe" as is being claimed. Thing is the naturally immune already have a good immune system. So there is no need for them to risk the shots. If the shots prove to actually be safe over years then it is a wash. If there turn out to be unexpected side effects that they dodged a bullet and are at no risk from the virus.

By the way the link you posted is a bit dated. It is true that over time, usually a few years, the immune system can not be as sharp as it was. I get a tetanus shot at around ten years. But we are at around six months for the covid shot. The immune system has not weakened in six months, only the number of active antibodies. There are still some antibodies and my immune system can make more as needed.
look at it this way, if the immune response from the shots is failing at six months, then there is a serious problem with the way the shots work.
I have written plenty about this already, but will summarize. Only thing the shots do is cause the human immune system to do it's job. It is the immune system that does the work.

^^^ sk47, so Aug 19, 2021 is "a little dated" ? 😄 Maybe you need new glasses.

The article also talks about booster shots in general and reasons why they exist. For some strange reason some people think it can't apply to the Covid vaccine. Is it because it's all made up and just a "money grab" ? Is the booster shot just water and they are "faking everone out" so they can grab more money. You do realize not all viruses nor vaccines are all the same. So once again you to try to go off track with an example like the tetanus to try somhow to justify your misunderstandings of what booster shots are for. The longer this thread goes the closer to total idiocracy it seems to go for some.

Go Google what's been going on in Israel with giving booster shots. You know, where all these beloved studies are done. Is Israel in a big "money grab" way before the USA, or do you think all those studies done in Israel had something to do with it?

And again, the Israel studies even recommend that people who already had Covid get a booster. Why do think these studies would cause them to say that?

It’s weird.
The discussion here is about the cancellation of science.
Every single source I’ve seen presented so far has suggested that those who were previously infected, should get the vax.
Yet here you are, espousing your beliefs rather than any scientific source that supports your argument.
Do you not see the irony of what you’re doing?
Even the studies that you believe to support your ideas then go on to say that you’d be better off with a jab.
Its just bizarre, but fully expected.
Hence the title of the thread.

You freely accept science right up until it disagrees with what you want to believe.
Just like climate science really.

Ever wondered if the professionals might happen to have a much deeper understanding of what’s going on when compared to us hacks with our 3 minutes of googling?

Hello; If you read the links i posted on this recently you will see many paragraphs explaining how it is found the naturally immune have good protection. They go on to say how they came to the conclusion in some cases with concrete numbers. The large majority of the article dedicated to the findings.
Then at the end of the article a short sentence about getting the jab for extra protection. Perhaps a legal disclaimer?

Also not expressing just personal beliefs. The nature of the immune system and how we react to virus infections is not just personal beliefs. How the immune system works is known and has been known for a long time. That so many millions have had the virus and survived on their own is clear evidence we have an immune system that has worked well for the vast majority. At least over 98% of the infected have survived. Over 99% for younger folks. Along with survival comes the protection of the immune system.
To put it another way, the science was about a study of the human immune system long before the new mRNA vaccines came along. That science did not fold up it's tent and go away along with all the knowledge accumulated. In fact the mRNA shots rely on the immune system to do the heavy work. The shots only trigger the immune system to do it's normal work is what I have been able to find. Hardly just espousing our beliefs.

My point is that regardless of how much immunity may or may not be conferred via previous infection, the actual scientists who are telling you this are also saying that you should get vaccinated. Period.
You‘re free to disagree with them, but in doing so, you’re being very selective as to which parts of the science you wish to follow and ignoring the parts that don’t suit your beliefs.

Science doesn’t care what you believe.
You already know this though.

Who should care about uninformed opinions when you can get advice from professionals based on the preponderance of evidence?

It's painfully obvious their take on this, is all based on something not related to science. All the HERF DERF attempts to reengineer the fundamentals of medical research, epidemiology, are just noise to cover up the real agenda.

All my [immediate] family, friends, peers, follow the __real__ science, and there's a common theme with all of us in terms of background, education, belief systems, and, *ahem*, "other".

Ever wondered if the professionals might happen to have a much deeper understanding of what’s going on when compared to us hacks with our 3 minutes of googling?
Right?

For example: vaccinating kids

Someone who'd I'd consider a friend, in addition to being a colleague with whom I've spent 2 decades building clinical analytic / medical informatic systems (predicting P/TBI outcomes via ML), who is a well known pediatric surgeon, highly regarded, published dozens of times, who's understanding of medicine, epidemiology, pharm, exceeds all the Googler's/MSN-er's understanding orders-of-order-of-magnitudes.

That's whose recommendations I give a decent amount of credibility. :)

It's funny that you didn't believe that the shot triggers your immune system and builds antibodies a while back, but now you do. Did you actually go educate yourself a bit?

If people didn't need a booster shot for any disease, then why do booster shots exist. Oh yeah ... it must be that big ol' "money grab".

You keep touting how well protected you are by already having Covid, but I have a feeling even if you already didn't have Covid you still wouldn't get vaccinated, which seems like a dichotomy to me.

It's funny that you didn't believe that the shot triggers your immune system and builds antibodies a while back, but now you do.
Back when these were first being used the best information said they did not provoke an anti body response. Just that they reprogrammed cells to recognise the virus. If the virus was introduced then the anti bodies started being made.

This then made sense as to why jabbed people were infecting others. Now it is said that the jab causes an antibody response.

Blood banks were paying premium amounts of money for blood with antibodies. Jabbed people were not invited.

Either way it is your immune system creating the cells that kill the virus, not the jab.

Since humans have been on this earth we have been exposed to viruses. Some were new mutations never seen before. Most people developed antibodies and survived the sickness, after surviving they were protected against reinfection.

My question is "why is this one different?"

Answer; it is not, our bodies are responding just like in the past.
