I've never tracked my car before or track raced.

Anyone done this? I'm guessing it is probably solo laps with an instructor...sounds like a fun learning experience!

They run a normal road course track day sequence. Beginner, Intermediate, Expert, in 20 minute sessions. No instructor but there are passing rules depending on the class.

SCCA is doing one at The Ridge in Shelton in two weeks. It is a FAR superior track than Pacific Raceways.

The Ridge in Shelton is a fun track. Took both my 2013 Mustang GT & 2014 SS Sedan there. I even got to drive a new Corvette on the track when I was there. I live way closer to PIR but would rather go to the Ridge.

Anyone know what the rules are for convertibles at these? Will look it up but if anyone knows to start with. Just want to go to the beginner and open 'er up a little bit, but not do anything crazy.
