Saw a Mustang with a Montana plate today in Massachusetts

You don't see many Montana license plates in Massachusetts, so they stand out, especially if they're one of the fundraising types that have odd colors or images.

I passed a Mustang this morning with a "special fund" Montana plate this morning, and I have to admit that I might actually pay the extra fee to have one of these if I lived out there.

Yeah, that plate would be awesome on every Mustang. I'll be going for California's black plate with yellow lettering, just have to decide on what I want it to say.

Don't let the 'fund' fool you, reason for ppl who live out of state registering their car in Montana is to avoid sales tax and emissions/inspection testing.

Used to live in Delaware so absolutely I have. I'd take the boring yellow gradient over what I'm stuck with.

License plates in NH are pretty busy looking and kind of an eyesore. Not the absolute worst in the nation (A few are pretty yikes), but I'm not a fan, personally. All the other New England states have better looking license plates if you ask me.

New York used to flip the two state colors...1966 - 1973 yellow characters on a dark blue plate, 1973 - 1986 dark blue characters on a yellow plate (yellow and blue being the two state colors), maybe not flashy or exciting but at least there was a purpose...now it's a menagerie of choices, and get this, plate coverings originally were outlawed as they obliterate the characters when dirty, but they have abandoned the stamped three-dimensional characters in favor of printed characters, equally unreadable when dirty...

Illinois standard plate. We have a ton of theme options for sports teams, outdoors, first responders, military, etc.

I bought a black Mustang and was like AWESOME I can get a Pennsylvania DARE plate, which is Black and it will look awesome.... NOPE they stopped selling them 3 months earlier.

Yep.....lots of "Snowbirds" use the Montana P.O. box loophole to register their million dollar coaches and vehicles.
