Nothing last like the stuff made in the 50's thru the 70's. Best to buy the cheapest washer you can and if you get 7+ years be happy pappy. My house had a 1971 Washer that lasted until 2007. Fridges today are also junk. Pay 3k for a tv screen in the door and thet break down like a clown within a year or less.

I hate reading some of these posts, my Whirlpool frig, dishwasher and washer and dryer, I bought them all new in about 2004. Looks like they are all about to fail now!

Most appliances built today are not made to last more than 5 years or so. It's best to buy one without all the "options."
