Was just reading on a post that the 24 uses different frequency TPMS sensors than the S550 uses? and the 24 can not learn the older sensors? i have a set of winter wheels that i use on my 23 GT and was going to use them when i get a S650, guess could always have new sensors put in them but kind of an annoyance. Also for anyone with the optional 20 inch Goodyear F1 all season tires, how do they perform in light snow? may just run those year around if they are good. thanks!

Program the tire sensors to the car?

I had to replace the sensors when I mounted the snow tires/wheels. The S550 sensor will not synch to a 2024.

You can't program them to the car because the car doesn't even see them because the frequency is not recognized by the 2024.

Or you can go "old school", ignore the light on the dash, and manually check your tires periodically.

yeah i was thinking of that also, does the light blink on the dash or just light up solid? anyone have an idea of how much it costs to have your old sensors changed to the new ones?

It lights up solid as I recall. And replacing all 4 sensors cost me around $200.

$200 isn't too bad, thanks for the info! don't know why Ford had to change the sensor type, the S550 ones worked good, would automatically read them when changing wheels. was easy. do the new S650 sensors automatically read when changing wheels or do they have to be reprogrammed to work?

TPMS sensors use low frequency, low power radio waves. They are susceptible to being interfered with by radio waves from other devices. Found this online: "To avoid interference, manufacturers vary the activation frequency across different vehicle models. This variation ensures that signals from other devices (such as garage door openers or nearby sensors) don’t disrupt TPMS communication."

The new sensors automatically updated for me, no need to do any reprogramming. Just like my S550 did.

That's good news they update automatically! reprogramming can be a pain, thanks again
