Whether that helps you brake later, depends on if you are already trying to brake too late or not.
Spending 10% less time braking is worth a lot less time than spending 10% more time at full throttle. So being under control, hitting the apex, and getting back on throttle as soon as possible in the corner is what you should focus on.
