For those of you who have never had the car apart, just figured I would film this to show you where many of you are getting your clunks from when shifting, decel, accel etc.

I was inspecting our parts after yet another weekend abusing the car at the road course, and figured it was a good time to snap a vid.

Ive had my car to 3 different places in the last month trying to diagnose a noise i was suspecting from the driveshaft. Im betting its similar to this.

I have that slop and it is making a lot of noise now. Anyway to fix it? Started to hear it more after FPRP Halfshafts and DSS Carbon driveshaft.

This actually isn't "that" severe....but it is a little excessive from what I see on these cars.

I just wanted to make people aware of the kind of slop in these cars. You start taking that rubber out of the rear cradle and suspension, and those clunks that are there from the moment you drive your car off of the lot, become much more apparent.

So is this just "normal" slop that we can expect from the mustangs?

As long as it works, il live with it.

Better than the constant fuel pump chirp I had on my FR-S for two and a half years.

I am just glad that my suspicions about the slop making noise was confirmed by Kelly here. I can live with it too, but definitely hear it with every shift.

Was this a PP car? Or just a regular GT? I remember someone saying that they had their gear slop decreased by a dealer, which got rid of the sounds that would occur from depressing the clutch at very low speeds. Obviously once the engine is decoupled from the rest of the drive line, the driveshaft, diff and axles make these sounds due to the removal of load.
