Love my 2017 GT convertible. Starting to look at trucks to replace my old Chevy. Haven’t had a chance to drive the F150 5.0 yet, how does it drive compared to my Mustang???

My '15 GT is a weekend toy, but my DD is a '19 RCSB F150 4X4 with the 5.0....

I think you'd like it, but obviously you'd want to do some test driving. The truck is substantially larger and a few hundred pounds heavier, but doesn't lack in performance at all. My truck has the e-locker rear diff, and I'd wager that with it and the front axle engaged, the truck would probably take my Mustang between stoplights. The Mustang would spin, the truck just grips and rips. On ramps are fun with it too, especially on E85. As those with Mustangs so equipped know, the 5.0 and the A10 are a fantastic combo, and it's no different in the trucks.

Thanks Stroker.

Wouldn’t it be nice if these trucks has 5.0 badging?

Yeah, but Ford won't. It sits in an awkward middle spot between the 2.7TT and the 3.5TT engines, so it's kind of like the stepchild in the truck. Ford wants you to buy a turbo engine.

All they have to do is slap some turbos on the 5.0 and I’m sold

My 2021 5.0 F150 makes a good 2nd vehicle, plus it responds well to mods (CAI,cat back and headers so far)

i mean its nothing like the mustang but they are comfortable and have plenty of power. the a10 is fantastic and honestly truly enjoy the truck. weve got a '19 super crew 4x4 as a family truck. only time im sad taking the truck instead of the mustang is when i want to row gears.
