I understand that.

But even perfectly thought out science can't deal with what it can't know. IOW, how do we know what we can measure today from those samples is the entirety of what went into them X number of ice ages ago? How many ice ages ago was that, anyway? And if we're trying to predict any very-long-period climate cycle, a few hundred years worth of better knowledge might not be a good enough snapshot to extrapolate out to the next peak. It might be like trying to predict an unknown car's quarter mile ET with hard knowledge of nothing but the time it takes to accelerate from, say, 60.000 to 60.001 mph.

Keep in mind that I'm not saying that either side is wrong here.

Beyond both of our pay grades I think - but I'm sure a climatologist would be able to answer you. Probably the wrong forum to find a detailed answer !

Back to OP original statement. Looks like the ICE Mustang will be here for at least 10 more yrs.

I think the Ford product planers will see that with so many car manufacturers going to electric power plants , they will realize there will be a demand for ICE powered cars. A lower volume production car like the Mustang could be a way to hedge their bet on what will sell. After 5 to 10 years of increased EV vehicle sales , the low production ICE V8 Mustang could see a sales increase.

There fixed it.

There, totally fixed for good.

Even if EV ownership becomes semi-popular as the years progress, NO ONE is going to give up their ICE Mustang… ever… because there’s no comparison as far as raw torque and sound of a 289/302/351/428/429/5.0 pushrod, a modern 4.6 DOHC or the more modern Coyote 5.0 or 5.2 VooDoo.

It will certainly be interesting to see what happens to ICE "specialty" vehicles as the market reaches some tipping point with either sales or market saturation of EV's. I'd be willing to bet the value of ICE vehicles will increase and prices will even go higher for both new and used.

But think for a minute why most car makers (including Ford) are going mostly EV? Markets are banning ICE cars so there will be no ICE market at all. Not saying it is right or wrong, but just reality.
