Maybe you should put some work into the door panels and make a hybrid of S550 and S197, i.e. take the controls from the S550, especially the door opener?

The appearance is simply a bit more sophisticated.

Maybe something for the finishing touches when the car is on the road and boredom sets in.

Will the Recaros from the S550 fit in there?

Thoughts on the new interior color? Door inserts and the facings of each seat will be this color. (Much darker brown in person)

Seems not to match nice with the yellow exterior color? 🤔
So as said, the color is much darker in person. With the complete interior, it should go well.

In addition, you see quite a few exotics and even corvettes with this similar color combo. (not saying I'm trying to make it an exotic, just that this combo exists)

This was my initial thought as well - plenty of yellow Ferraris and Lamborghinis with black and brown interior out there.

K member modified for S550 steering rack because Ford couldn’t be bothered to leave the mounting distance alone!

I think I would still choose an even much darker brown if it's going to be brown.
If it were mine, I would probably have black or anthracite with yellow stitching done.
But it's your project, you have to like it, noone else!
Go for it! :)

Maybe add a yellow accent to the seats and go for yellow stitching?

Hi @zackmd1
Any errors with the Sync 4 system? I have a sync 4 module but I read that wireless carplay was not an option. It's amazing that you got this working. If you get some time please share how you got this done
Thanks

So not finished with programming yet but so far I have most everything functional. Some errors exist but they are for network items that don’t exist in a S550.

S550 rack installed.

Fyi for those curious… I did try a S197 rack and while it got rid of the steering fault in the cluster, the PCM, ABS, RCM, BCM, and APIM were not able to communicate with it.
