Running Lean

Took the car out today to the store and it started running lean. It was happening when I leave it in D and its in 5th or 6th gear and I just slightly press the gas. I was going slow under 30mph, but I never noticed it before. I data logged a bit, first time so I'm not even sure I did it right.

Actually can someone walk me how to upload the files. They are .csv and it won't upload them.

bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip

these are the allowed extensions. You can download 7zip or winrar and then right click and turn the .CSV into a .zip file. You will then be able to upload it. The other option is to upload the file to another file hosting site that allows .csv and share the link here.

Just add .txt onto the file name. Example: log0001.csv.txt

Then to read/use the file after upload simply delete the .txt from the file name.

I saw it go down under .80 and a/f 9.8.

Actually thats running rich!!!

Comparing the lambda to load, definitely rich. Would need to see long term fuel trims, short term fuel trims, Engine RPMs and knock to see if it was tuned this way or if there's a problem. If its a turbo car I can see this behavior as it would help spool the turbo.

Oh ok. I'm still trying to learn lol. Ok so then the lower the lambda the richer it is? The lower the a/f ratio the richer it is also?

yes. 14 parts of air to 1 part of fuel compared to 11 parts air to 1 part fuel. The lower the number the more fuel is in the ratio.

The lambda value is the AFR divided by the stoich value of the fuel. 14 divided by 14 compared to 11 divided by 14. The lower the lambda the more fuel is in the ratio.

Ok cool I had it backwards then lol. I guess it's always better to run rich than lean right lol.

Lol yea man. I have the pc ho kit with the dw 95lbs. I'm running the base tune from pc and full exhaust, longtube headers no cats, x pipe with m80s. I also have ngks installed.

Ok i see part of your problem,prochargers tune is not meant to be run with longtubes and no cats,unless u had them do something just for your setup.Could be why your running so rich.I would contact procharger tech,he is always on here,that or custom tune.

Cool I'll ask to see if they'll do any adjustments for me. I spoke to someone from Lund and it's going to be 450$ for the tune so... hope procharger can help me out lol. I still need to install my opgs and cs.

Jon and I did some updates to my tune. Class act as he was responding late at night up until last night. Lund has been awesome for me.
